In 1947 Guy and Hazel Stephens spent two-hundred dollars to purchase their first printing press. And so began Stephens Printing. Guy would visit his customers during the day, and in the evenings he would be busy at the press completing the work that had been entrusted to him. Building a reputation for exceptional customer service, everyone knew that they could trust Guy, which is why today Stephens Printing and Design holds the record for the most successful and longest running printing company in Troup County. And at age 94, Guy still comes to work every day.
In 1973, Roger Stephens, Guy and Hazel's son, left a successful teaching and coaching career to work in the family business. As Stephens Printing has grown, they continue to hire the most qualified people, and with 250 years combined experience, they ensure that their customers will be
well taken care of.
In 1984, Stephens incorporated and moved to their current location, and have recently expanded in order to meet their customers' needs, opening a printing and "quick copy" store, Panther Prints in 2005, conveniently located on the LaGrange College campus. Stephens Exclusives, now located on 222 Main Street, opened that same year, and offers a wide variety of stationery and invitations for all occasions as well as high end and
exceptional gifts.
